Luke's nurses are the best! This next story might GROSS you out so if you have a sensitive tummy, don't read any farther. The only definitive test for Botulism is a stool sample test. Yes they test your poop. Luke hasn't had a bowel movement since we got here on Monday so they have been giving him laxatives and suppositories for the last 3 days. Well, this afternoon it paid off, BIG TIME! The only problem, they found out after the first diaper, was that it all got absorbed into the diaper and they can't use it then. So they have these little bags with a little hole and some tape and, you guessed it, they taped the little bag to Luke's little butt and wait. The next diaper the bag didn't work so they tried it again. Needless to say, 3 times the charm! So they were very excited to have a usable sample for the lab to test. WOO HOO! I told you this was a gross story, you should have skipped it ;). Anyway, the lab has their sample and now we wait for the results.Wednesday, July 16, 2008

And GROSS..yes it was!! Imagine not pooping for 5 days. Of course its gonna be a mess! Poor little guy had to have a bag taped to his tiny bum cheeks. We think he deserves a new "expensive" toy. :-)
