So we are on day 5 and counting, we are here for 6 weeks and we are nearing the end of the 1st week. That would mean only 43 more days by my calculations. The last couple of days have been uneventful accept for the few disappointments, like yesterday when I was on my way to drop Maddie off in Ogden at her cousins house, I got pulled over. It always happens when you are already late and they always take forever to write the stupid ticket. Anyway, I wasn't speeding or anything, I got a ticket for expired registration. I was very surprised because the registration expired June 30, not even 2 weeks and I got pulled over. On top of that apparently they don't write fix-it tickets any more, who knew. Leave it to Ogden cops to get picky about 2 weeks. When we got to Jaylee's house, Maddie wouldn't let me leave. I always feel so bad when I have to go and she is screaming, this week has been even worse because we haven't seen each other more than 2-3 hours a day. I have really been having Maddie withdraws. I felt so bad about leaving her so much that on my way home last night I decided to bring her with me to the hospital today so we could spend some time together and so she and Luke could play. She has also been getting up early and going to bed so late that I thought it might be good to let her sleep today.
When Brant dropped her off this morning she immediately wanted to climb into the crib with Luke, and when I set her down in the crib with him his eyes lit up so bright and he started babbling at her right away. I guess I never new the bond that they had already formed until now. She was so sweet with him, she gave him hugs and kisses and wanted to lay down right next to him. Around noon Maddie and I went for a walk around the unit to check things out and show Maddie were Luke lives right now. When we got back the nurse informed us that Luke had pulled his feeding tube out and need another one put in right away, hooray he's getting stronger! So after having his I.V. taken out last night they had to put another one in so he could get fluids until his new tube was put in. What a handsy boy!
Maddie and I played and watched movies while Luke napped this afternoon and it was really fun to have her with me today. She is so much fun and even though she gives us a hard time, she's our little angel and we love her like crazy. XOXOXO's for our Angels!

So sweet. I'm so glad Maddie got to be with you on Friday! I'm so sad we haven't been able to come see you. It just breaks my heart to be here in Utah, finally, and still can't come because of illnesses around us! It's so frustrating. We think we're out of the woods by now, so expect us sometime tomorrow afternoon/evening! We love you and are keeping you all in our prayers. We also put your names in the Temple for some added prayers! Love you!
You have the best attitude!
