And so it starts

After much poking and proding from all of you I have started our blog. I know, I know, Brant is a web designer and I am a stay at home mom and between the 2 of us it has taken WAY too long to get a blog started. But, I have finally jumped on the band wagon and we'll see how this latest venture of mine turns out.

This first post comes right after fathers day and we decided, on the spur of the moment, to spend the weekend in Yellowstone. It was the first time there for Brant, and I hadn't been there since I was a teenager, so it was really fun for us to experience it together with our wee little ones. Maddie can't say geyser so she called them "hots". We would drive by a herd of bison or buffalo and she would call them "bluffalo". It was so cute we made her say it all the time, we even got it on video, which I will post as soon as I get it off the camera. We stayed in a little hotel in West Yellowstone called Al's Westward Ho Hotel, needless to say it was the only place with a room on such short notice. Anyway, we drove around and saw as much of the park as we could and Luke was happy to ride until we got about an hour away from home. Then he decided that he had had enough and cried the rest of the way home. Anyway, Maddie had a great time and Luke was so easy going that it was a very relaxing trip and Brant had a great Fathers Day.
